Dinner at Lucky Seven Phnom Penh

Sometimes when I do miss eating familiar foods in my travels I usually go to fastfood joints. Back home in Manila, I usually go to some similar fastfood joints. Yeah I know it isn’t healthy but in my past job, fastfoods are the only food kind of restaurants open at midnight and early in the morning.

Anyway, so while walking around the area where I stayed at in Phnom Penh, I chanced upon Lucky Seven (located beside the Shabu-Shabu Japanese Buffet Restaurant). If you’re coming from Street 258 and walking towards the main road where you’ll see Nagaworld hotel on your left horizon and Independence Monument on your right horizon, then you’ll not miss this restaurant.

The variety of foods that they have here are almost similar to other fastfood restaurants that you’ll see anywhere in Southeast Asia. They have fried chickens, french fries, burgers and they also have cakes and a lot more.

So me and my friend ordered chicken nuggets with fries and softdrinks, chicken wings and grilled saba fish.

The highlight of the dinner was really the grilled saba fish which you won’t usually find in other fastfood restaurants. The chicken and the nuggets were ok. But the grilled saba fish was really succulent and tasty and was even perfectly complimented by a soy sauce based dipping sauce.

The price wasn’t that expensive too. The chicken nuggets with fries and softdrinks only cost $1.50, the grilled saba was around $2.20 and the chicken wings cost $1.90 (2 pcs with bread bun), extra rice cost $0.30.

Go check it out when you visit Phnom Penh and be sure to order the grilled saba.

Happy Food Tripping!!!
