My friends and I had Dinner at Boutique Cambo Hotel when we were in Siem Reap. There were plenty of options to choose from but we opted for Peppered Beef and Chicken Tom Yum. The preparation didn’t take awhile as there were only a few people in their restaurant that night.
The choices were also not that expensive as the Peppered Beef only cost $3.50 same as the Chicken Tom Yum.
I was quite surprised though when my ordered arrived as I was expecting a medium sized slice of local beef fried and seasoned with Kamot Pepper, but what I got was thin slices of beef with bell peppers. It was hilarious although it was clearly no one’s fault. It’s just that I was expecting something else. Anyway, I love this dish as I’m also a big fan of bell peppers.
One of my friends ordered chicken Tom Yum which was too spicy for my taste. I’m not a big fan of spicy food and have a little tolerance on chili. It was ok although I personally thought that Tom Yum always works well with seafood.
Each of our orders came with a plate of rice as well (included in the price).
This plate of fresh mango was really tasty and succulent although I find it a bit expensive for $1.50.
Overall, the dinner was ok and the total price was not that expensive especially when you split it to three persons.
