Fresh Strawberries of La Trinidad

Baguio City is famous for being the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”. This is the prime destination for those who are trying to escape the heat during the hot summer. There are plenty of things to do and see in this city and one of the popular things to do in Baguio City is to visit the Strawberry Farms in La Trinidad.

The Strawberries Farms in La Trinidad is just around half an hour away from the city proper of Baguio. The fastest way to get here is by hiring a taxi and it cost approximately around P100 (as of the time of writing).

There’s no entrance fee based on the notes of a friend who recently went there but the cost of strawberries seem to be twice as of the market price. They paid P500 for one box of fresh strawberries that they picked themselves (weighs almost a kilo). So practically, the half of the cost goes back to you and half goes to help sustain the farm.

There seems to be no minimum weight though, they just give you a box and you picked your strawberries and then tehy weigh it afterwards.

The strawberries are literally fresh (as you just plucked it off their stems) and very succulent. It’s definitely worth the trip.
