Chorizo Burger of Boracay

Boracay is definitely one of the most famous beaches in the world. The island is known for having crystal clear water, blinding white sand that never gets too hot, diverse and colorful marine life and a vibrant nightlife to boot.

The island is also very accessible from the capital city of Manila via daily flights to Caticlan or Kalibo.

There is also no shortage when it comes to accommodation in Boracay. If you have the money to splurge then you can sta in one of the exclusive hotels in the island. If you’re traveling on a tight budget, you don’t have to worry as well because there are plenty of affordable accommodations in Boracay. You can definitely travel to Boracay cheaply and enjoy the beauty of the island without breaking the bank.

Food option is also plentiful. There are fastfoods, local restaurants, lunch and dinner buffets and for those who are really on a very tight budget, street foods. And one of my favorite street food in Boracay is the Chorizo burger.

Chorizo Sandwich of Boracay

The chorizo burger is basically made up of two pieces of longganiza (local Filipino sausage) which are grilled to perfection and then sandwiched to grilled hotdog buns. To make it more tasty, a thin layer of BBQ sauce is spread on the bun as well.

It’s tasty, delicious, a bit sweet and spicy and definitely cheap. As of the last time I was there I only paid less than a dollar for this sumptuous meal.

One thing I noticed though was that I never saw any chorizo burger in the morning or at noon time. I usually find them late in the afternoon until the wee hours in the morning catering. maybe most of their customers are partygoers who are always up for a late snack.
